Position Type: Permanent Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

$2,890.31 to $3,179.34 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled administrative urban/regional planning work developing plans, coordinating planning activities with other agencies, and supervising professional and technical planning staff.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Urban/Regional Planning or a closely related field PLUS four (4) years of professional urban/regional planning experience OR two (2) years as a Brevard County Planner II. Professional planning experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
