Inventory Control Specialist at Crenlo Engineered Cabs

SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring all materials and information is available to support daily production schedules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct cycle counts, resolve inventory discrepancies, and expedite parts to support uninterrupted production.
• Investigates root causes of material shortages or missing parts and works with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
• Publishes weekly reports on material issues, including recommended short- and long-term solutions.
• Coordinates and expedites parts and assemblies between plants, warehouses, and departments to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with departments such as Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure efficient material flow.
• Coordinates with departments supervisors to maintain accountability and traceability of all materials.
• Responds to material inquiries from production lines and expedite materials from receiving, offsite warehouse, and other facilities as needed.
• Recommends and implements procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and improve inventory management practices.
• Monitors and addresses critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.
• Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy; assist in developing replenishment plans using PFEP (Plan for Every Part) methodology.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production and inventory control operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER:

• Work Hours/Status: Full Time, Salary Non-Exempt, 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, OT as required.
• Travel Requirements: Travel between local facilities.

• Environment: The work environment is in a warehouse/shop environment where numerous processes (cutting, welding, grinding, press brake forming, painting, and assembly) are under constant operation. Warehouse and Shop conditions include frequent exposure (30 – 60%) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, and hazardous substances.
• Physical Requirements statement(s) Sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors and screens is required. Sitting, standing, and frequent walking are required.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law, compliance, trends, new technologies and best practices in areas of responsibilities.
