Process Engineer at RiteScreen and FlexScreen

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, enhance product quality, and ensure a safe working environment. This role works closely with engineering, plant leadership, and cross-functional teams to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity using Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Key Responsibilities

Process Analysis & Improvement

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Develop and implement methods to improve product quality, reduce scrap, and increase efficiency.
• Lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs including cycle time, scrap rate, downtime, and labor efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.

Ergonomics & Facility Design

• Design and optimize layouts and ergonomic workstations.
• Specify and validate new equipment, tooling, and process changes.
• Support equipment trials and capability studies.

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

• Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Maintain knowledge of manufacturing best practices and technology advancements.

New Product & Process Introduction

• Support the introduction of new products and processes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Manage capital equipment projects from justification through implementation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams.
• Provide technical training and support to operators and production staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required.
• 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, process control, and automation.
• Proficiency with Lean and Six Sigma tools and data analysis.
• Experience with CAD software and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with ability to work across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
