The Position:

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to assist with the operations of the Financial Services Department.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Works collaboratively with accounting staff to meet department goals, objectives and timelines.
• Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures and internal controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement preparation, and payroll.
• Four (4) years of financial accounting experience, including supervision of staff.
• Ability to collaborate with representatives from all areas of the Company.
• Public accounting and healthcare experience preferred.
