The Position:
We are looking for an Assistant Controller to assist with the operations of the Financial Services Department.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Works collaboratively with accounting staff to meet department goals, objectives and timelines.
- Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures and internal controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or combination of relevant education and experience.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement preparation, and payroll.
- Four (4) years of financial accounting experience, including supervision of staff.
- Ability to collaborate with representatives from all areas of the Company.
- Public accounting and healthcare experience preferred.
