Position Summary

As a Product Manager at StrongMind, you will play a crucial role in leading complex projects and driving product initiatives across various departments, including UX, product marketing, product development, and curriculum development. You will be responsible for delivering actionable insights based on the needs and requirements of our users, customers, and both internal and external stakeholders. You will oversee and execute various phases of product management, from development and design to analysis and communication of results. You will champion data-driven decision-making in all phases of product development, including discovery, design, launch, and ongoing customer use. You will advocate for our product initiatives both within and outside the company, enabling teams to understand and address user needs effectively. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple complex product tasks independently, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Lead development team ceremonies, ensuring productive outcomes and alignment with product goals.
  • Own backlog management and iteration planning, writing and refining user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize tasks to align with product goals and stakeholder needs, proactively identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks.
  • Remove blockers independently or coordinate solutions with the team, providing clear and regular updates on Epic progress to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication within and across channels and teams, representing the customer for the development teams effectively.
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate user feedback and industry knowledge into the development process, ensuring a deep understanding of the product, user needs, and industry landscape.
  • Develop comprehensive problem statements that reflect deeper interactions and value creation, engaging in iterative cycles of problem definition, hypothesis testing, and validation.
  • Map out epics and their components to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives, leading discovery sessions to identify complex problems.
  • Incorporate data from various sources (e.g., website metrics, app interactions) into problem analysis, using initial data to validate problem statements and refine customer needs.
  • Analyze KPIs to measure the impact of product changes and improvements, continuously championing research-informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with UI/UX designer on product design and experience.
  • Serve as “voice of the customer” with delivery teams, representing the customer’s perspective throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Be influential and collaborative in finding the best solution with team members.

  • Proficiency in executing all phases of product management.

 Education/Training

  • Passion for education is a must; experience in Ed-Tech is beneficial but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in an agile environment
  • Shipped at least one mission-critical application in the last 2 years
  • Experience with mobile applications is beneficial, but not required
