Position Duties
- Works cooperatively with the Cafe Manager to ensure a quality Food Service Program.
- Exemplifies and provides professional customer service in all aspects of food service.
- Assists in preparation and cooking of designated menus.
- Works independently to operate a short-order line during breakfast and lunch hours.
- Preparing, cooking, and serving food to customers.
- Maintains serving areas in clean and well-stocked manner.
- Monitors condition of equipment, cleanliness and order of storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, and other equipment.
- Maintains kitchen and seating area in clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.
- Works with student dishwashers to ensure consistent quality clean-up of kitchen.
- Works with students to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
- May assist with cashier responsibilities as needed.
- Works cooperatively within the college Community.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- One year training in food service.
- Two years’ experience in related work.
- A combination of work experience and training may be used to fill this requirement.
- Must have a current Davis County food handlers permit.
- Must have good communications skills.
- Ability to organize and follow through.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Requires a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current ServSafe certification
