Overview:
Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices. Our ideal candidate is familiar with accounting software packages such as QuickBooks. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our firm.
Responsibilities
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements.
- Process Accounts Payable (A/P)
- Process and deposit Referral Fee checks
- Daily bank reconciliations for all trust bank accounts
Requirements and Skills
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of advanced bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry
- Experience with understanding and handling of rental agreements
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Bank statement reconciliation
- Communication skills
- Ability to research across multiple sources
Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
