Job Title: OPERATIONS INTERNSHIP
Shift Schedule: The selected intern will work anywhere between 15-25 hours a week. The preferred candidate will be available to intern for the 2025 Fall semester. (September 22 – October 31, 2025)
Starting Rate: $16.00 PER HOUR
CLOSING DATE: 4:00PM, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2025

We are seeking a creative and motivated Operations Intern to join our team. The Norfolk Airport Authority internship will expose the student to the Authority’s operations department, as well as all other functions under, and related to, the operations of the Authority. The intern will receive hands-on experience under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager.
TASK ASSIGNMENT:
- Perform orientation of the Airport Authority’s “culture of safety.”
- Acquire full understanding and applicability of safety processes and procedures used by the Airport Authority.
- Assist in the revision and development of the airport operations and communications policies and procedures.
- Prepare summaries of key metrics and inspection data in operations.
- Provide project management support for the implementation of operations projects and initiatives across the Authority.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Majoring in Aviation Management, Aviation Operations, or a related field.
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
