Job Summary:

The position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance duties in service, installation, and repair within the following areas: HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine, and electrical servicing.  The position is knowledgeable in general maintenance procedures and safety measures in each area. Must become familiar and practice assignments as outlined in the Departmental Standards of Operation.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

HVAC Technician:

  • The HVAC Technician provides backup coverage for the Maintenance Worker Job description, but their primary role is listed below:
    • Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain all heating and air conditioning equipment including but not limited to heat pumps, split systems, cooling towers, building automation system, exhaust fans, closed loop systems and kitchen equipment.
    • Cleans repairs and maintains ice machines per manufacturer recommendations at required frequencies.
    • Maintains and repairs refrigeration components to include coolers, freezers, compressors, condensers, fans, coils, and closed loop system.
    • Assist with other systems as needed. For example, pool heaters and chillers, drinking fountain chillers, and plumbing.

Maintenance Worker makes repairs and provides service in the following areas: electrical, mechanical, structural, & plumbing systems, door & window hardware, furniture, roofing, ceilings, walls, floors, windows, carpets, lighting, painting and some other systems and components related to commercial facilities maintenance. Power washing is a regular duty. 


  • The position will assist in set up, take down, and moving of event-related equipment & components as needed.
  • Inspects and performs minor maintenance repairs in the Rental Cottages.
  • Demonstrates ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders. Completes all work and related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Exhibits skills and strength required for power washing.
  • Displays a sense of urgency and effective time management with all tasks.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and attention to detail in work duties, using safe work practices at all times, including use of personal protective equipment as required.
  • Ability to use tools, including power tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Performs regular preventive maintenance as directed or in accordance with an established maintenance schedule.
  • Takes independent action as issues are observed; asks for and offers help as needed. 
  • Demonstrates effective use of work order system on smart phone after training.
  • Any additional duties as requested by the Manager of Facilities Maintenance.
  • Adheres to uniform guidelines and maintains a well-groomed, positive professional image at all times.
  • Flexible to adjust work schedule to business needs, including weekend hours.
  • Complies with all service, teamwork, safety, and dependability expectations as outlined in the Team Member Handbook. 


Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, work environment and ability required. 

  • High School Diploma or GED; with minimum of one-year related experience and/or training. 
  • 3-4 years hands-on experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, building hardware repair, etc. General Maintenance work skills and experience in a Club environment is preferred.
  • Commercial painting and power washing experience is preferred.

  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that is within company requirements.
  • HVAC Technician must maintain an active EPA certification for a recognized provider.


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; perform most duties while standing or sitting; lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Ability to work safely from ladders and heights including bending, twisting, stooping, walking.
