Front Desk Coordinator

Department: Office/Non-Clinical Location: Hermitage, TN

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Coordinator I plays a crucial role in a healthcare facility by managing patient inquiries, appointments, and administrative tasks. This position requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Greet and assist patients both in person and over the phone.
2. Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups accurately.
3. Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
4. Explain office policies and procedures to patients.
5. Maintain electronic medical records and ensure accuracy.
6. Coordinate with medical staff to address patient needs.
7. Handle billing inquiries and process payments.
8. Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
2. Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service role is a plus.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficiency in basic computer applications.
5. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.
