Hourly Pay Range:
$61.80 - $95.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:
Position: Director, Medical Group Operations Orthopedic and Spine Insitute
Location: Center for Health at Elmhurst Hospital; Elmhurst, IL
Full Time: 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Required Travel: Yes (to other Endeavor Health locations)
Brief Overview:
Responsible for medical group operations for the Endeavor service area of the Orthopedic and Spine Institute. Understand the application of the Endeavor Health mission, vision, and values in relation to the Director role and responsibilities. Assume a leadership role in project management and recommend innovative solutions for identified opportunities. Lead and develop management team and support physician leadership to achieve overall growth targets for the area.
What you will do:
- Knowledge and demonstration of Endeavor Health customer service standards.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Federal, State and local laws that apply to the job’s area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Endeavor Health policies and procedures that apply to the job and areas of responsibility.
- Ongoing growth and development from participation in events such as workshops, in-service programs and departmental meetings.
- Provide service based on physical, psychological, educational and related criteria appropriate to the age and type of the patients/customers served in their area.
- Demonstrate an overall understanding of the quality strategy for the Medical Group and Endeavor Health.
- Ensure workflows are implemented to support Medical Group initiatives for areas of responsibilities.
- Partner with physician leaders and Practice Managers to provide quality data to physicians and staff to communicate quality results and develop plans for improvement.
- Monitor loyalty results for area of responsibility and implement Medical Group tactics to improve loyalty scores.
- Respond timely and appropriately in resolving patient, physician and staff concerns and identify and recommend solutions to Medical Group leadership.
- Ensure Medical Group systems and processes are in place to promote a positive patient experience.
- Ensure consistent Medical Group first impression standards are applied to facilities and office environments to promote a positive patient and employee/physician experience.
- Develop and review growth plans for multiple practice/specialty/Divisions with a group of physician leaders and office management.
- Lead local projects or participate as a member of a project team to initiate a Medical Group project.
- Participate in the development and ensure consistent workflows are applied across offices in area of responsibility and identify new or modify existing workflows to optimize results.
- Ensure service and access across offices through available hours of operation, geographic access, patient loyalty scores, and other operational indicators.
- Partner with physician leaders and Practice Managers to develop program proposals.
- Monitor finances in their area through regular meetings with their management team.
- Identify major trends and variances across area of responsibility.
- Understand how physician compensation is determined and demonstrate command of the content when responding to physician questions.
- Review individual physician financial performance.
- Ensure People Management Cycle for physician and practice management is consistently implemented to include hiring for fit, onboard, set expectations, develop and coach, recognize and reward, review performance, develop career/in place.
- Achieve and maintain expected level of competence for the Medical Group EMR.
What you will need:
Bachelors Degree Required in Business Administration, Health Management, or a related field, required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of medical group operations-related management experience
