The Wells Intervention Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing well intervention operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of activities. This role requires strong technical expertise in well intervention methods, equipment, and procedures, with a focus on maintaining well integrity, optimizing production, and supporting field development strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and execute well intervention operations (e.g., wireline, coiled tubing, slickline, well testing, pumping, stimulation, and fishing activities).
- Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices regarding HSE, well integrity, and operational excellence.
- Prepare intervention programs and operational procedures, including risk assessments, contingency plans, and cost estimates.
- Provide technical support during well intervention campaigns, both onshore and offshore, ensuring operational efficiency and troubleshooting when required.
- Coordinate with drilling, production, subsea, and other related disciplines to optimize intervention plans.
- Review and validate contractor proposals, equipment specifications, and mobilization plans.
- Monitor and analyze well intervention performance, identifying lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses related to well intervention activities.
- Contribute to the development of long-term well integrity and intervention strategies, supporting asset life extension and production optimization.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field..
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of well intervention techniques, well integrity management, and downhole tools.
- Familiarity with offshore operations and international standards (API, ISO, NORSOK).
- Strong HSE awareness and experience implementing risk management practices
