About the Role:
The Integration Accountant will play a critical role in integrating private psychiatric practices from across the US into our Beacon Behavioral Partner financial model. This position is responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and reported in compliance with established accounting principles and organizational policies. Integration Accountant will manage bank reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and analyze account activity to support accurate balance sheet reporting. By collaborating with various departments, this role helps to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain clean and reliable financial data. Ultimately, the Staff Accountant contributes to the organization's financial health by providing timely and precise accounting information that supports strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience with bank reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare or social assistance industry.
- Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
- Familiarity with healthcare financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Advanced skills in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and internal records.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to various financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
- Analyze account activity and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support audit processes.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare industry regulations and organizational accounting policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled and documented.
- Continuously review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
