ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Promotes and follows the City's mission statement, values and expectations.
- Conducts research of the historical identification and interpretation of museum artifacts, photographs, documents, and other items with historical significance; inventories the artifact collection, photographs museum objects, scans archival material, scans the photographic collection and updates museum database records for the artifacts.
- Documents and maintains progress of research projects in work journal.
- Photographs and digitizes museum artifacts, photographs, documents, and other items for the Museum's online collection database.
- Performs additional tasks related to the Museum Collections Digitization RAMP Project and other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Concurrent enrollment or recent graduation from a degree program in museum studies, art history, public history, history, anthropology, archaeology or related field.
WORK HOURS
Part-time position. Incumbent of the position must be able to work Saturdays as needed.
