Summary of Job Purpose
Terrain Parks is a team-oriented department focused on providing our guests with excellent customer service on the mountain. In addition, terrain park employees are hosts and information centers.
The Terrain Park staff will provide maintenance of the various terrain features and maintain all hill safety issues pertaining to the parks. The staff will evaluate parks and features prior to opening to ensure a safe and fun environment for our guests.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Duties:
- Promote teamwork.
- Lead by example.
- Maintain an efficient snow park operation.
- Produce Daily work logs for Terrain Parks.
- Demonstrate an on-going commitment to delivering excellent customer service. This involves interacting with guests in a courteous manner, and being able to answer questions professionally.
- Communication with other departments.
Facilitating maintenance of Snow Parks as directed by Manager/Supervisor.
- Enforcement of safety rules.
- Maintain clean, safe and professional workstations.
- Recognize and correct any safety hazards within the snow park department.
- Shoveling and raking snow.
- Heavy lifting.
- Walking and working on uneven ground, deep powder, icy and wet surfaces.
- Communicate problems to supervisors while showing initiative in handling routine and emergency matters.
- Visual Inspection and physical testing of Terrain features in Parks.
- Skiing or Riding while on the clock as directed.
Job Qualifications
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
- Be safety and risk oriented.
- Must be aware of the Ski areas terrain and facilities.
- Have advanced skiing/boarding ability.
- Be in good physical condition, including flexibility, strength and endurance
- Have the ability to process daily documentation legibly and accurately.
- Have the willingness to continually learn and update knowledge of Terrain Park.
- Have strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Be neatly groomed, have ski and or snowboard equipment in good condition.
- Be able to operate a snowmobile safely in a variety of terrain and snow conditions.
- Willingness to work during extreme weather conditions
- Requires the skills of a host. This involves approaching guests in a courteous manner, inquiring if they have any questions and being able to respond professionally.
- Must posses a valid driver's license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.

Work Schedules
Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road surfaces.
Working Conditions
At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Work is typically outside working with other resort staff members and resort guests. It can be cold, wet, or humid. At times, you may be expected to work inside and it can be noisy. There is also the possibility of working around moving objects. Occasionally you may be up in high places.
Uniforms
A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.

- Ski and board equipment must pass an equipment check. (You should be aware you are responsible for any damage to your equipment while at work).
