Position: Educational Assistant SLC-B / .8125 FTE / 6.5 hours per day Monday - Friday
Job Statement: Will work with individuals or groups of students to reinforce teacher instruction. Students served may have special handicapping conditions or behavioral concerns that require assistance for the student to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to assist with toileting may be required
- General skills in mathematics, English and writing
- Ability to work with students and adults
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children in groups or classroom setting desired
- Must be NCLB qualified:
- 2 years education at an institution of higher education
- Associates degree, or
- Successful completion of a competency assessment administered by the district on reading, writing, mathematics and instructional delivery skills
Salary/Benefits: Hourly Range: $22.95 - $29.07
(placement on the salary range is based on years of experience)
