Summary of Position Mission
The position ensures the smooth operation of production equipment, including CNC machines and high-volume assembly lines, while also maintaining the overall facility. The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for minimizing downtime, both planned and unplanned, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting our commitment to producing high-quality firearms. .
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on CNC machines, assembly lines, and other production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Create PM schedules and accurately produce PM budgets on a yearly basis
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues with manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility’s HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and facility maintenance requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including those specific to firearms manufacturing, such as proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Oversee and coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks when necessary.
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
