The Assistant Director of Special Education provides special education leadership, including overall insight of staff, and implementation of federal and state laws and regulations. |

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES (NOT LIMITED TO): |

• Organize, supervise and evaluate special education staff members • Supervise the development of individual education programs for special education students • Attend special education meetings and the Special Education Parent Advisory Council • Assist the department head in the handing of day-to-day problems that arise within the department • Assist in scheduling special education supports • Assist in scheduling special education meetings • Monitor and provide appropriate consultation services for the department • Other duties as needed |
