POSITION TITLE: Hall Monitor
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-year college degree or higher, 48 College hours, Para educator certification, COMPASS with passing scores, or acquire passing score on Accuplacer test.
- A background in criminal justice, youth counseling, security or other related fields are preferred.
- Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This individual will provide another level of safety and security within Liberty Elementary School during school hours. Duties include:
- continuously checking hallways
- making sure doors are locked and secured
- reviewing video surveillance
- as well as communicating with students to form relationships for student success
- provide a presence in hallways and other common areas throughout the school day
- work closely with the administrative team as well as the school resource officers
Specific duties and assignments will be determined by the administrative team as job tasks are identified.
