Position Mission:
Provides technical assistance and training to employees and staff by performing the following duties.
Position Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty with excellence. The requirements listed below are representativeof the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: •Two year certificate from college or technical school; or Three year relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience. CompTIA A+ Certificate.
Job Duties: •Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone andother electronic medium.
Configuration of client's equipment to connect to the Information systemvia LAN/WAN.
Configure local software to connect LAN resources and or Internetapplications/servers.
Provide training to clients in the use of the Information system andapplications related to software.
Obtain general understanding of OS and application operations related todistrict offered services.
Identify and correct or advise, on operational issues in client computersystems.
Provide Network hardware support for internal and external applications.
Evaluate new support systems/application system requirements forimplementation.
Provide Level II Technical Support for software and network devices.
Perform light lifting 25lbs.
Perform creation of new accounts using district provide software tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and otherelectronic communications.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
Experience with hardware and software issues.
Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTPclients and Web Browsers.
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational,and presentation skills.
Typing proficiency: 30-50 wpm.
•Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental/educationalregulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions fromgroups of managers, staff, teachers, and the general public.
•Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concretevariables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,diagram, or schedule form.
•Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge ofboth PC and Mac OS; OS X 10.7 Server; Windows Server 2008; proficientnetworking skills; Active Directory; Open Directory; Internet software;Word Processing software; Programing Experience.
•Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those thatmust be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentialfunctions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employeeis regularly required to sit; stand and walk.
The employee is occasionally required to move light to moderateequipment from building to building; load and or unload vehicles; pack andor unpack equipment.
