Job Goal: To build a high school baseball program that fosters excellence, high-level competition, and holistic student development—supporting physical health, moral character, and social and mental growth.
Essential Duties & Performance Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the high school baseball program, including planning, organization, and daily operations.
Develop and implement a structured, progressive practice schedule that aligns with competitive goals and student-athlete development.
Serve as a liaison between the baseball program and school staff, administration, parents, and the broader community.
Provide weekly updates to parents via email, including schedules, announcements, and team progress.
Supervise all team-related activities, including practices, games, travel, and community events.
Collaborate with the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director to manage scheduling, budgeting, and team travel logistics.
Pursue ongoing professional development through coaching clinics, workshops, and relevant conferences.
Coordinate the collection and reporting of team statistics on MaxPreps and other platforms as required.
Teach and model the rules, techniques, and values of the game, emphasizing sportsmanship and team spirit.
Ensure compliance with Patriot League and CHSAA (Colorado High School Activities Association) bylaws and policies.
Evaluate the performance of assistant coaches and athletes, providing constructive feedback and support.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, Principal, Superintendent, or School Board.
Terms of Employment: For duration of approved athletic season.
Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the board’s policy on evaluation of coaching personnel.
