What This Job is About:
AMCP is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our executive team as Vice President, Member & Stakeholder Engagement. This role is central to shaping the growth, reach, and impact of our organization.
The VP will lead efforts to expand and deepen engagement with both corporate and individual members, while also cultivating strong partnerships with payers, PBMs, sponsors, and other key industry stakeholders. As a visible ambassador for AMCP, this leader will represent the organization at high-level meetings and events, champion our mission, and drive business development strategies that strengthen our value to members and partners alike.
This position will oversee a talented team dedicated to membership services, business development, and partnerships. The VP will guide strategy, inspire collaboration, and create new opportunities for revenue growth across AMCP’s portfolio. From setting and achieving membership goals to ensuring meaningful, long-term relationships with our stakeholders, this role is about both vision and execution.

You aspire to make a difference and possess the following skills and competencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and/or CAE preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in membership services, stakeholder engagement, business development, or related areas.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or management role.
- Knowledge of and experience in related health care area, including health care association, pharma industry, or managed care.
- Experience managing teams and budgets.
- Background in partnership development and revenue generation highly desired.
- Demonstrated expertise in membership recruitment, retention, and engagement, ideally in a professional association, nonprofit, or similar environment.
- Strong business development acumen with a proven track record of revenue generation and partnership building.
- Superior relationship-building, networking, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision-making.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking and presentation skills.
- Experienced leader able to cultivate and exhibit a collaborative, results-oriented team environment while achieving results through others.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
- Proficiency with CRM, membership management, and business development tools.
