Position Overview:

Step into a dynamic, multi-faceted role where agriculture meets innovation. As a Sunrise Cooperative Operations team member with an Agronomy concentration, you'll be at the heart of our mission to deliver exceptional service and drive growth across Agronomy, Energy, and Grain divisions. This isn't just a job—it's a hands-on opportunity to make a tangible impact in the field, on the road, and at our facilities.

Your primary focus will be agronomy operations, including custom application, soil sampling, crop input delivery, and equipment upkeep. But your versatility will shine as you support Energy and Grain operations during peak seasons—delivering fuel and propane, servicing equipment, grain grading and receiving, and loading outbound shipments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Agronomy Operations

· Execute precision custom applications using advanced equipment, following Sunrise Cooperative’s gold-standard procedures.

· Log environmental and field conditions with accuracy using iPad and dispatch software.

· Deliver seed, crop protection, and nutrient products via semi, straight truck, or pickup.

· Conduct GPS-based soil sampling with automated probes and RTVs, ensuring organized sample handling.

· Perform daily vehicle inspections and document findings.

· Maintain and repair equipment—greasing, washing, and logging all service work.

· Keep vehicles, tools, and workspaces spotless and operational.

· Comply with all safety and transportation regulations for hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

· Support facility and equipment repairs as needed.

· Complete all paperwork with precision and efficiency.

· Deliver top-tier customer service—greet warmly, communicate clearly, and share product expertise.

· Represent Sunrise Cooperative with pride, promoting our values and enhancing public trust.

· Stay flexible for overtime during peak seasons.

Energy & Grain Support (Seasonal)

· Assist with product delivery, loading/unloading, and maintenance tasks.

· Be available for emergency energy service calls and after-hours grain train loading when scheduled.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Strong literacy and numeracy skills for accurate documentation.

· Class A CDL with Medical Card and Haz-Mat endorsement (or ability to obtain within 12 months).

· Eligibility for Ohio Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide License.

· Tech-savvy: comfortable with computers, tablets, and smartphones.

· Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
