Summary/Objective
The Patient Access Quality Review reviews registrations for accuracy score for each month and reports findings to the Patient Access Supervisor(s). Is responsible for communicating consistent errors with the leadership team and individual employee. Helps train staff one on one with the recurring errors identified through quality review. Utilizes and software that is available to score and evaluate each customer's account.

- Reviews and monitors 100% of prior days patient accounts for accuracy for a clean claim to drop and be paid appropriately. Maintains awareness of hospital and departmental standards which impact position responsibilities.
- Compiles data for monthly reports for accuracy and completeness for all assigned staff members and reports to supervisor/director.
- Communicates with the hospital quality vendor and reports to the supervisor/director regarding enhancements or issues with the software.
- Utilizes clerical and medical terminology skills effectively in fulfilling position responsibilities. Works quality and collections through the work queues effectively.
- Assist in registration when volumes are high or staffing shortages. Utilizes standards of patient access representative when facilitating this position.
Works closely with supervisor/director to maintain hospital staffing for the department, helps to prioritize job duties among the department staff, and helps with training of new staff.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
1-3 years related experience
