Our Analytical team is currently seeking a Senior Scientist.
The Senior Scientist job is an exciting chance to join a team that promotes and recognizes innovation. We are seeking motivated individuals who will work on providing analytical services in a world-class paint company. In this role, you will collaborate with other members within the corporate analytical chemistry group to support Research & Development labs, Corporate Quality groups, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
As a technical leader provide guidance and expertise in method development and validation, instrument troubleshooting, data interpretation and analysis
Perform analytical testing on requests from corporate R&D, QA/QC, Regulatory and Manufacturing
Collaborate with R&D laboratories in basic and applied research, provide analytical testing results, and interpretation
Research scientific literature and use the information to investigate and develop analytical methodologies
Work on expanding analytical testing and characterization capabilities
Draft and issue analytical reports
Qualifications:
MS with 10+ years’; PhD with 5+ years’ working experience in analytical chemistry or related field
Broad knowledge of analytical chemistry and direct experience with analytical and material characterization methods and instrumentation, i.e., HPLC/ MS, GC/ MS, UV, FTIR, TEM, SEM, DSC, and GPC
Demonstrated expertise in LC/MS and GC/MS
Demonstrated abilities in developing analytical methods and validating testing procedures
Strong instrumentation skills, including analytical instrument set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
Demonstrated capabilities in project management and team leadership
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, ability to manage multiple competing responsibilities
