We are hiring a reliable and motivated Kitchen Worker to support the back-of-house operations at our authentic Japanese restaurant. This role is essential in helping our culinary team deliver high-quality meals with efficiency and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing fresh ingredients for sushi, ramen, donburi, and other traditional Japanese dishes
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchen stations
Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and other food items as directed
Keep prep and storage areas organized and well-stocked
Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
Assist chefs with basic cooking or plating tasks as needed
Follow all food safety protocols and health department regulations

Qualifications:
Previous kitchen or food prep experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right candidate
Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and cleanly in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
Punctual, dependable, and able to follow instructions carefully
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
