The Snowmaker is responsible for assisting in the creation of a solid base and early season snow conditions. Typical start date is the first week of October or when weather permits, with an end date in early to mid-January. Snowmakers set up, turn on, move, monitor, and shut down snowmaking equipment. This is a physically demanding job requiring the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds, often in extreme weather conditions. Candidates must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and operation of snowmaking systems
  • Conduct visual inspections and routine maintenance on snow guns and hoses
  • Set up and break down snowmaking equipment
  • Operate trucks, snowmobiles, and/or snowcats safely and efficiently
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Support team efforts and complete assigned tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and carry up to 40 lbs

  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one

  • Physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks

  • Moderate to advanced skiing or snowboarding ability
