A Special Hazard Service Technician will work with Low- and High-Pressure CO2 Fire Suppression Systems, Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems, Dry Chemical Fire Suppression Systems, and Marine Systems.Pay Range $22-$24 DOE
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, program, commission, service, and inspection fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
 - Install conduit, wire, piping, and equipment for assigned fire projects.
 - Execute projects on time and within the allocated installation hours.
 - Read and interpret complicated blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications.
 - Exhibit excellent communication skills with internal support, clients, and subcontractors.
 
Education/Qualification:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
 - MUST have a Black Hut.
 - At least 2 years of experience within Special Hazards.
 - Knowledge of alarm and detection systems.
 - Fire Alarm (Siemens, Kidde, Notifier) experience preferred.
 - Early warning smoke detection experience.
 - Pre-action detection & control experience.
 - Experience with Clean Agent gas systems.
 - Knowledge of NFPA Requirements.
 - NICET Level I or II (preferred but not required).
 - Basic Electricity and Electronics knowledge.
 - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
 - Basic understanding of blueprints, schematics, and other technical specifications.
 
Physical Requirements:
- Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
 - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
 - Must be able to climb ladders, pull cables, and work in confined and high spaces.
