We are searching for a compassionate and dynamic individual to join our team as a  Nurse (RN, LPN) for the Circle Program.  The nurse is responsible for managing medications for patients with both mental health disorders and substance use disorders. Additionally, the nurse provides training and education to patients and their families. It is essential for nurses to accurately document patient care and ensure that all information is accurately recorded.

This position is Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 12:00 midnight.

All applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, along with a comprehensive background check and a TB test.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks are necessary for the role.  Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with the patient.

Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

Promotes independence by establishing care goals, teaching patients, friends, and family to understand the condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions.

Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following standards of care set by the state board of nursing, the State Nurse Practice Act, and other governing agency regulations.

Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.

Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and requesting assistance from health care support personnel.

Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations to protect patients and employees.

Documents patient care services by charting in electronic records.

Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by maintaining confidentiality and adhering to strict standards of privacy.

Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine the inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt of supplies, and using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem-solving methods.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

A valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license is required to practice in the State of Colorado.

Experience:

Prefer prior experience in the psychiatric and substance misuse field.

Other:

Able to perform duties with minimal supervision.

Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Basic computer skills are essential for communicating effectively through email and written reports.
