The Planet Kids Assistant Manager is responsible for the development and operation of Planet Kids at Soda Springs Ski Resort. This role oversees safety, guest service, and staff performance during daily operations, ensuring the highest quality experience for guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of Planet Kids, including staff oversight, guest service, and safety management.
• Assign work zones and lessons, check daily labor, and monitor quality of work.
• Ensure proper coordination with other departments for lesson and ticket sales.
• Enforce safety procedures, including appropriate use of PPE, when staff work around large machinery, power tools, chemicals, and hand tools.
• Conduct and contribute to staff and safety meetings.
• Ensure all staff members are in proper uniform and in compliance with company policies.
• Perform staff evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Input and review staff hours, lesson reports, and operational data.
• Support onboarding, training, and separation procedures in collaboration with the Guest Operations Manager.
• Promote and deliver exceptional guest service to exceed expectations in an environment of safety, fun, and learning.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience, preferably in recreation, ski resort, or hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Comfortable working outdoors in winter weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and holidays.

Additional Information

• This is a seasonal leadership role at Soda Springs Ski Resort.
• Training is provided; however, prior leadership and safety management experience are strongly preferred.
• Must exemplify a commitment to guest service, staff development, and operational excellence.
