Major Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications
• Creates and revised engineering drawings under the direction of task engineers or designers
• Prepares engineering drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Identifies and resolves model design, and interface problems with system engineers.
• Prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from layouts, rough or detailed sketches, electronic databases, or written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to interpret and convert legacy vellum engineering drawings into modern CAD models and detailed engineering drawings
• Experience with configuration control, revision tracking, and compliance with industry drafting standards
Basic Qualifications:
• Associate degree in an engineering discipline with two or more years of experience in drafting support for complex multi-discipline systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant understanding of codes and standards, such as IEEE and NFPA 70.
• Proficient in electrical and I&C design drawing changes
• Experience with HMI/PLC control systems software
• Experience supporting Design Basis Reconstitution efforts in a nuclear or industrial facility
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve model design and interface issues with system engineers
• Familiarity with DOE design and engineering standards.
