We are looking for an Architect with strong coordination experience and site experience to join our practice in Victoria. You will be working on a landmark, mixed-use, residential and commercial development in a listed building with contemporary additions, coordinating the shell & core package.

We are particularly looking for those with Stage 4/5 site experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent design skills, technical advice and robust and cost effective solutions to meet clients’ needs and achieve client satisfaction
  • Producing planning, technical and working drawings to a good standard
  • Help produce the project's deliverables under the guidance of the team leader
  • Working within a team with other architects, architectural technologists and assistants 
  • Working closely with contractors, other consultants and design team members
  • Communicating with the senior members of the team on job progress
  • Line management of junior members of the team, and following up actions and personal development activities set  
  • Contributes to practice wide initiatives, which further the delivery of the business plan 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

You must be able to demonstrate that you have: 
  • Site experience at Stage 4 & 5 - this is an essential requirement
  • 2+ years post Part III qualification experience
  • Knowledge of Fire Safety regulations
  • Able to demonstrate construction knowledge
  • Waterproofing experience is a bonus
  • Proficiency in Revit and fluency in Microsoft packages
  • Able to demonstrate construction knowledge
  • Experience of collaborating with site and project managers.
  • Experience of successfully working on complex projects 
  • Expertise in construction drawings and construction details
  • Strong knowledge of codes, practice standards, and industry expectations
  • Proficient working knowledge of UK legal and statutory regulations and processes
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to communicate successfully with stakeholders in the project 
  • Strong design and drawing skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activities
  • Experience and knowledge of contact administration and legal issues and ability to undertake relevant requirements
  • Has confidence liaising with clients, contractors and other professionals and has the ability to develop strong relationships with them
  • Demonstrable experience in running a small project team
