Job Summary: the General Maintenance position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities; requires broad knowledge of and experience in mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, and carpentry.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
- Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment to involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations.
- Perform maintenance on the buildings, facilities, and grounds.
- Assist to determine the nature and scope of forthcoming projects and the requirements for completion.
- Maintain required maintenance logs and files.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery.
- Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.
- Cooperate and work productively on own and with a team.
- Be punctual and reliable in attendance.
- Work overtime as needed.

Requirements
- Minimum one year or more in a general maintenance role or similar experience
- Lift and move at 50 pounds frequently; occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
- Able to see and safely operate various hand and power tools, machinery, and other equipment
- Able to read and interpret operating instructions and procedural manuals
- Write standard documentation
- Speak effectively to train others
- Able to perform basic math calculations and measurements
- Able to work in a production and warehouse environment; occasionally outside
