Currently, our team members are spread across the country, engaging with clients remotely (occasionally on-site, as client needs dictate) and working varied hours (ranging from 10 hours/week to 55 hours/week). We offer market-rate compensation based on the outcomes that you deliver and the number of hours and weeks that you will be leading project work, plus bonuses for bringing in new clients.
Given our flexible structure and smaller size, we tend to bring on new team members in a “trial-to-hire” capacity. In other words, we initially hire individuals as independent contractors for discrete client projects, and then, after successful projects completion and mutual determination of “fit”, we may move towards a more permanent employment arrangement.

Engagement Manager Position
We’re looking for experienced strategy consultants to serve as Engagement Managers on our team. (This role is roughly equivalent to an Engagement Manager at McKinsey, a Project Leader at BCG, or a Manager at Bain).
Our ideal candidate has successfully led client engagement work at a top consulting firm and is looking to continue that work in the flexible consulting model that Artemis Connection provides. She/He is a strategic thinker, structured communicator, and excellent project manager.
This role seeks a contractor to perform independent risk assessments and due diligence reports for applicants and existing participants in a portfolio of Small Business Investments.
Tasks include:
- Analyze financials, market trends, management teams, compliance, and risks.
- Provide comprehensive reports with ratings and recommendations
- Maintain strict confidentiality, quality control, and compliance with small business regulations.
This is a year-long remote-based project, with potential for up to two 12-months extensions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years Consulting experience, ideally from a top-tier firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain), though in-house strategy/operations experience also considered
- Track record and demonstrated skills of performing due diligence / risk assessments
- Demonstrated skills in project management required, ideally in a “case team” or “client service” type of environment
- Demonstrated skills in effective communication, including ability to build senior client relationships and effective case team relationships, required
- Commitment to producing high-quality, client-ready work, on tight timelines, required
- Orientation toward being a proactive, curious team member
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel required, in order to coach other team members on these tools
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree preferred

- Willing to travel: client travel requests are typically light, as needed for client interactions
