As an MRI Technologist, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team using advanced imaging technology to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes and contribute to a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform MRI scans using a variety of specialized equipment across KHSC sites and off-site locations
  • Screen all individuals prior to entering the magnetic field to ensure safety
  • Apply sterile techniques and manage patient positioning and transfers
  • Conduct a wide range of MRI procedures including neuro, MSK, abdo-pelvic, breast imaging and biopsy, cardiac, and sedation/anesthetic cases
  • Document and forward imaging cases to PACS for radiologist review
  • Coordinate emergent or priority procedures and manage workflow within the magnet
  • Adhere to KHSC safety policies and Occupational Health & Safety Act responsibilities
  • Report and help resolve hazards or unsafe situations
  • Support early and safe return-to-work processes in case of workplace injury
  • Uphold KHSC’s Workplace Conduct and Reporting of Inappropriate Conduct policy

 

What You Bring

  • Graduate certificate in MRI Technology
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Technical proficiency with MRI equipment, coils, and power injectors
  • Experience with HIS/RIS and PACS systems
  • Certification and competence in contrast media injections
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
  • Clear criminal reference and vulnerable sector check
