What You’ll Do:

 

This position is responsible for overseeing the graduation of trainees completing the required training to become first seat drivers. This role plays a vital part in maintaining and growing the inbound pipeline of new CDL holders to the company. The professional driver onboarding program is one that is committed to growing seated driver count and reducing recruiting costs. As a member of the program, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing the training process, developing relationships with trainees and career coaches, coaching new CDL holders for success, and owning communication between career coaches, trainees, operations, and all support departments.

 

  • ·       Triages incoming calls and takes timely action to resolve outstanding issues cradle to grave
  • ·       Performs outbound calls to trainees for weekly check-ins and validating weekly progress
  • ·       Performs outbound calls to career coaches for bi-weekly check-ins
  • ·       Regularly communicate with operations staff on career coach and trainee exceptions when it comes to training progress or deficiencies that would require an address from operations
  • ·       Responsible for seating trainees and career coaches according to pre-set plans
  • ·       Coordinates the meeting location between career coach and trainee with internal stakeholders; includes arranging transportation and overnight accommodations per company guidelines
  • ·       Processes after-hours travel reimbursements as necessary per standard operating procedures
  • ·       Assists with conflict resolution and provides written documentation when needed
  • ·       Enters timely payroll adjustments for career coaches and trainees
  • ·       Assists with the creation of plans for appropriately seating trainees and career coaches
  • ·       Operates as a key agent to increase trainee survivability and drive overall program growth
  • ·       Will operate as a program advocate; includes the overall program, its career coaches, and its trainees
  • ·       Work with internal stakeholders to create upgrade plans and travel arrangements for trainees
  • ·       Serves in a coaching capacity for the career coaches and a career success mentor for the trainees
  • ·       Works through daily & weekly “board checks” to ensure frequent visibility on career coach and trainee statuses
  • ·       Responsible for maintaining high data integrity
  • ·       Develop and maintain positive working relationships with career coaches and trainees
  • ·       Additional duties as required

What We’re Looking For:

 

Education

·       High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

 

Experience

·       Minimum of 0 – 2 years of related experience performing general clerical/administrative functions, call center/customer service, etc. required.

·       Experience in the transportation industry a plus.

 

Skills/Certifications

·       Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft products.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of personalities and backgrounds and provide detailed and accurate reports.

·       Ability to work as a team and adapt to change quickly.

·       Strong problem-solving skills.

·       Excellent organizational skills.
