Benefits: The teacher benefits include contributions to health, dental, and life insurance plans, with the district covering a portion of premiums. Eligibility requirements determined by the contract and if eligible will be prorated.
Reporting Relationship: The EL Instructor reports directly to the Building Principal
East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 9,000 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district's K-12 enrollment is approximately 1950 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. The district also boasts a thriving Preschool Program and lifelong learning opportunities through Community Education.

Position Summary: The EL Instructor will provide instruction and support to English Language Learners (ELLs) to help them acquire proficiency in English and succeed academically. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized lesson plans, assessing students' language proficiency, and collaborating with other educators and parents to support student progress.
Essential Duties: The EL Teacher will deliver instruction and support to English Language Learners, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development. The teacher will work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster an inclusive educational environment and facilitate the integration of English Language Learners into general education settings. Through differentiated instruction and a student-centered approach, the teacher will promote student success and overall growth.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education.
- Minnesota teaching license with EL endorsement or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with EL students preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
