QA Automation Engineer
Job Summary
As a QA Automation Engineer at RedSail Technologies, you will advance your skills in test automation, DevOps practices, and data management. You will develop more complex automation scripts and contribute to the CI/CD pipeline while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Duties
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using advanced frameworks like Playwright, Robot, Cypress, etc.
• Perform code reviews and optimize automated test scripts for efficiency.
• Integrate automated tests into the build process and ensure continuous integration.
• Conduct in-depth debugging and troubleshooting of automation scripts.
• Work with manual QA to identify and prioritize test cases for automation.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems for automated test failures.
• Collaborate with developers to understand complex requirements and design robust test cases.
Education/Training
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent applicable experience, plus at least 3 years of professional technical experience in software, which includes:
• 3 years of experience in test automation, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with RedSail applications or other pharmacy management systems (preferred).
• Proficient in agile processes.
• Knowledge of cloud computing (bonus for Azure).
• Solid API testing experience.
• Experience with automation testing.
Required Work Experience/Skills
• Advanced technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation.
• Proficient in a programming language like Node.js, Python, or C# for developing test scripts and automation solutions.
• Experience using open-source load testing tools designed for testing the performance of APIs and web applications like JMeter, K6, Gatling, etc.
• Strong analytical and design skills at multiple product levels.
• Proficient in research and analysis, planning, and implementation.
• Solid understanding of the entire development process including specifications, documentation, quality assurance, and release management.
• Good understanding of business issues and their impact on overall plans.
• Effective time management, decision-making, organization, presentation, and problem resolution skills.
• Excellent communication, human relations, and interpersonal skills.

• Moderate levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job.
• Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs.
Equipment
• Daily use of the Microsoft Teams (phone), computer, printer, and other routine office equipment.
• Must have internet access.
