The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments.
Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Monday thru Thursday 8am-6pm, or Tuesday thru Friday 8am-6pm for the front desk/MA positions, Medical Asst/front desk position Monday thru Thursday 8am-6pm
Location: 501 E. Broad St. Mansfield; Travel within Mansfield
The role you’ll contribute:
The Provider Onboarding Coordinator, under the direction of the Sr. Transition Manager and Provider Onboarding Manager, is responsible for all aspects of the onboarding of all new employed or contracted providers joining AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG). This includes facilitating the credentialing process, coordination of orientation and training, communication to all impacted departments with updates on provider onboarding statuses and progress as well as processes related to practice closures, relocations, and provider separations. The Provider Onboarding Coordinator will also assist with direct communication to new hire providers to ensure onboarding efficiency and timeliness.

Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately and at the time of service or results
Performs clinical intake according to AHMG policy and procedures
May be responsible for assisting with minor procedures associated with specialty
May be required to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs
Safety/Whole care
Must maintain education requirements for position and demonstrate competency, as required
Is responsible for maintaining OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance
Follows safety processes and policies to ensure appropriate care is given
Provides and ensures patients receive whole care in all aspects of an office visit, regarding intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, closure of care gaps and all aspects necessary following AHMG policies.
Efficiency
Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patient and equipment for the needed treatment and initiates testing and documents results into the practice’s designated system when appropriate.
Clinical competencies must be passed annually
May include written test
Must stay up to date and familiar with all policies

Minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) or
American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) or
American Medical Technologists (AMT) or
National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Asst (NCMA) or
National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or
National Association for Healthcare Professionals-Medical Asst (NRCMA)
