Load & Delivery Specialist (Gig Roster Position)

$25–$30/hr | Austin, TX | Shifts via Nowsta

Table Manners (a sister company to Contigo Catering) is looking for strong, professional, detail-oriented individuals to join our roster of Delivery & Load Specialists. This is a gig-based role ideal for people with flexible availability who enjoy physical work, odd hours, and the satisfaction of contributing to flawless event execution.

About the Role

As a Delivery & Load Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely loading, transport, delivery, strike, and unloading of tabletop rentals (plates, glassware, flatware, etc.). You’ll interact with clients, operate company vehicles, and work solo or with a partner depending on the route.

This job is physical. You’ll be lifting various weights (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and using dollies to move fragile items carefully and efficiently. Most shifts are 2–5 hours, scheduled mornings, late afternoons, or late nights. Shifts are posted in Nowsta - our staffing platform - and claimed on a first-come-first-served basis. You only work when you want!

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks with fragile inventory using dollies
• Secure loads with ratchet straps
• Deliver and pick up orders professionally and efficiently
• Follow detailed instructions in Nowsta for each event
• Communicate clearly with planners, clients, and internal teams
• Submit delivery/strike reports and signatures via tablet
• Maintain cleanliness and order in company vehicles
  

Requirements

• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
• Reliable transportation to/from our warehouse (78723)
• Comfortable driving box trucks or vans
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Able to pass a background check (no felonies or sex offenses)
• Punctual, professional, and able to follow detailed procedures
• Comfortable working early mornings, late nights, or weekends
• Must be fluent in English and have solid communication skills
  

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with moving, delivery, or event setups
• Experience using Nowsta or other gig platforms
• Familiarity with Austin roads and venues
