The Inside Sales Support Manager leads a team of Inside Sales Specialists in North America, providing leadership, training, and operational guidance to ensure support for our Account Managers. This role is critical in ensuring customer needs are met with precision and speed, enabling Account Managers to focus on strategic relationship building and revenue generation. The Manager plays a key role in digital transformation, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring excellence in execution and high service levels across all customer-facing support functions. This is a full-time, onsite role based in our Princeton, NJ office
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure clear and effective processes and procedures for efficient and accurate sample submissions.
- Coordinate timely and accurate quotes, contracts, and price agreements from the team.
- Promote a culture of data ownership, ensuring master data is consistently reviewed and updated.
- Monitor and track team performance metrics related to opportunities, pricing, customer items, and system accuracy.
- Serve as a key liaison, communicating with Sales Team Leaders to foster transparency and alignment.
- Act as a Digital Leader, promoting a “digital-first” mindset and equipping team members with digital tools and skills.
- Ensure all customer visits, internal or external, are well-supported by the team to enhance customer experience.
- Create a sense of urgency and ownership in handling customer complaints and quality issues, ensuring timely and transparent communication through resolution.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements that streamline workflows and enhance productivity
- Provide escalation support to remove roadblocks for the team in preparing opportunities or bid packages.
- Establish and align best practices in forecasting and communication between Account Managers and Inside Sales Specialists.
- Work closely with Sales Team Leaders to drive sales performance and foster a supportive, collaborative team environment.
Salary Range - $110,000 – 130,000
The compensation range provided reflects the expected base compensation only and does not include potential bonuses, incentive plans, or benefits. An individual’s final compensation offer will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education level, relevant experience, training, and geographic location.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field with 5 years of proven experience in Sales Operations, Inside Sales, or Customer Service preferably within the Food & Beverage or Ingredient industry.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience with cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels.
- Experience working in an international organization, managing complex, cross-border customer relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a bias for action and results.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment with full accountability for team performance.
