OVERVIEW

 

As part of a global team of Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, and others, the Test Automation Engineer will help deliver new and innovative products to millions of athletes and cycling enthusiasts worldwide. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Design, create, execute, and maintain automated tests for rider-facing e-bike firmware features as part of our embedded software delivery cycle.
  • Translate feature requirements into robust test cases to ensure functionality and high-quality delivery.
  • Support and improve our automated hardware-in-the-loop testing framework, built in Python on Linux.
  • Enhance the electrical and software design of our testing systems.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve test failures.
  • Work closely with manual testers to expand automated coverage.
  • Contribute to holistic test design across unit, CI, automated acceptance, and manual acceptance phases.
  • Help evolve tests between manual and automated formats to optimize delivery

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • B.S. in Electrical or Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in firmware or test automation.
  • 1+ year of experience in Python test automation (Pytest preferred).
  • Experience with embedded hardware/software platforms and troubleshooting across firmware, hardware, and communication layers.
  • Willingness to travel to the US 1–2 times per year for 5–10 day
  • Collaborated with international, cross-functional teams on embedded tech projects.
  • Hands-on experience with BLE protocols and device integration.
  • Proficient in Linux for embedded development and system tuning.
  • Skilled in embedded systems development.
