Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize MRP system to communicate risks and opportunities with Demand Scheduling
- Release and monitor purchase orders, analyze for quantity, specifications and delivery requirements
- Maintain part master so that MRP is utilized effectively
- Advise Supply Chain leadership team of market conditions and supplier activity which could affect pricing, quality and delivery
- Meet inventory and cost reduction goals
- Process Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and notify suppliers with revised drawings, act as liaison between Engineering and the supplier.
- Responsible for working with transportation partners and suppliers to expedite materials
- Follow-up on past due orders and acknowledgement reports
- Ensure timely closure on open supplier issues related to quality and return goods authorizations
- Cross-train in other areas within Supply Chain to provide backup for other members of the department.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Education and Qualifications:
- BS/BA in supply chain management, business, engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years of demand scheduling or materials planning experience, ideally in industrial equipment manufacturing or automotive
- Excellent project management, communication and organizational skills
- Proficient decision making and analytical problem-solving skills
- Understanding of engineering, quality, and manufacturing processes
Excellent skills with MS Office; SAP knowledge and MS Project preferred
