The Senior Vice President of Property Operations is responsible for leadership and managing the performance, operations and accountability for F&B, Hotel, Facilities, Guest Experience, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Security Departments. This includes developing budgets and operating strategies and performance goals and objectives for each department.

Responsibilities:

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Responsible for leading, managing the planning, controlling, communicating and implementing procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations of the F&B, Hotel, Facilities, Security, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Guest Experience departments.
  • Manages contract and relationship with third party contractor for transportation and valet.
  • Must ensure team members of contractors provide the same standard of service to Casino guests as provided by Casino team members. Service and processes must be seamless.
  • Prepare and effectively manage department budgets and strategic plans.
  • Establishes standards of performance. Ensures standards of quality, teamwork and customer services across departmental lines. Casino will be maintained at the highest level of operations, repair and cleanliness.
  • Ensures safety and security of guests and team members. Manages programs and processes to control and reduce loss-time injuries.
  • Serve in leadership role with developing the company’s identity as good corporate citizen and community leader being on boards for local non-profit organizations.
  • Must embrace the Live 5 values of Clean, Safe, Fast, Friendly and Fun for the property.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  • Ability to recognize and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to effectively manage people, processes and procedures. Adherence to deadlines in an interruptive environment.
  • Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requiring an irregular work schedule.
  • Active involvement in a leadership role in Casino sponsored community activities.
  • Experience in a high tax environment helpful.
  • Regional experience is also a plus.
  • Should be able to work in an open dialogue environment with a competitive spirit.
  • Experience in a high service minded environment is a plus.
Qualifications:

Must-Haves:

  • Requires a Four (4)-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in managing and supervising in the gaming hospitality or entertainment industry inclusive of line and staff team members in each of the functional areas: Table Games, Slots, Security, Maintenance; Housekeeping, Transportation and Valet.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency for the position.
