As an Electrical Engineer I, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of electrical principles to a wide range of exciting projects that move from concept to installation, including custom electromechanical equipment, control panels, robotics, and vision systems. In this role, you’ll collaborate with engineers and project managers while balancing computer-based design work in the office with hands-on involvement in the shop and at customer sites. This is an excellent role for someone eager to grow their career, offering exposure to both design and fieldwork, while requiring flexibility for travel, overtime, and occasional overnight stays. What You'll Do:- Perform Electrical schematics and panel layouts, component specification, assembly, and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products as assigned
- Gather information and pricing for proposal process to include site visits as needed
- Interpret and create schematic drawings, layouts, and other engineering documentation
- Lead assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and wiring in the shop
- Recognize and communicate design changes to Engineers and Project Management that are not included in the Scope of Work or active Change Orders
- Lead and mentor Electrical Technicians in various job duties and tasks as assigned
Working Conditions
- Walk / use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel
- Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Perform work on site in industrial, commercial, and residential locations
- 6 months’ - 2 years’ internship or relevant work experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- Passing FE (Fundamental Engineering Exam) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be willing to attend training and remain updated regarding industry standards
- Proficient in the use of software packages such as AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design software
