Overview:The incumbent in this position is responsible for maintaining the grounds of the entire property; informs management of landscaping issues, maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the property providing preventative maintenance of grounds. Responsible for the seasonal upkeep of exterior grounds and maintaining the hardscape of the property.Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position) - Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service. - Assists Facilities workers regarding preventative maintenance and the proper cleaning and safe operation of equipment. - Clean, maintain and remove trash from parking lot and entrances.- Power wash exterior surfaces.- Monitor irrigation systems and outdoor lighting.- Assists in the maintenance and watering of flower beds, plant areas, planters, and hanging baskets.- Operates Mule and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris. - Maintains building and grounds appearance to company standards. - Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.- Performs work regularly and predictably. - Other duties as assigned.- Attend seminars when needed.Qualifications:EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc): - Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.- Must successfully pass background check.- Must successfully pass drug screening.- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.- Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock. KNOWLEDGE OF: - Machines and equipment including but not limited to; basic hand and power tools, gardening and mowing equipment, spray equipment, etc. - Safe use of hazardous materials.- General landscape products. ABILITY TO: - Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed. - Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.- Use tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscape work.- Operate trucks and light motorized equipment.- Follow oral and written directions.- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Additional Details:
