JOB TITLE: WCR Maintenance HVAC Technician I
DEPARTMENT NAME: WCR Casino HVAC
REPORTS TO: WCR Maintenance HVAC Supervisor
POSITION STATUS: Regular Full-Time, FLSA NON-EXEMPT
HOURS PER WEEK: 40
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Works under the direction of the HVAC/R Supervisor in the repair and maintenance of the HVAC/R systems. Must possess EPA Universal Certification as required by 40 CFR, part 28: subpart F, refrigerant handling and recovery. Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license and be cleared by the gaming center’s insurance carrier to drive company vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Must be knowledgeable of repair methods in various maintenance duties. This includes plumbing and welding with a main emphasis on heating/cooling systems.
Must be familiar with hot water boilers, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, exhaust fans, electronic controls, and electrical components.
Must be able to work from drawings, verbal and written direction and recognize systems and equipment deficiencies and take corrective action.
Perform regular preventive maintenance duties on various systems.
Must perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Will perform other related duties as assigned/required within the limits of knowledge and experience of the employee.
Will assist in maintenance projects at various other tribal enterprises as directed.
Must be able to work in a casino environment.
Must be able to perform active physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Must exercise good judgment as errors could prove costly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of four (4) years’ experience with Central Plant operations (or equivalent) is preferred but not necessary.
Refrigeration Trade School certification with EPA Universal certificate in refrigerant handling.
