Director of Retail Operations
Location: Austin, TX and Georgetown, TX
Full-Time | On-Site
As Director of Retail Operations, you’ll take charge of multi-site performance, people development, and strategic execution. This is a role for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, blue-collar environment—someone who can build systems, empower teams, and drive operational excellence from the ground up.
Director of Retail Operations Responsibilities:
Develop and execute long-term strategies to optimize retail performance and growth.
Manage day-to-day operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and exceptional customer service.
Lead, mentor, and support store managers and frontline staff to build a performance-driven, accountable culture.
Monitor KPIs, sales reports, and operational trends; implement improvements to maximize results.
Oversee inventory control, streamline processes, and implement strategies to reduce shrinkage.
Create and manage budgets while ensuring resources are allocated effectively and profitably.
Ensure operations meet company policies, labor regulations, and workplace safety standards.
Strengthen vendor and supplier relationships while aligning store operations with broader company goals.
Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and implement new tools, systems, or processes to support sustainable growth.
Director of Retail Operations Requirements:
7–10 years of progressive retail management experience, preferably with multi-unit or high-volume operations.
Proven success in team leadership, process improvement, and customer-focused retail strategies.
Strong communication and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to lead both at a high level and hands-on in the field.
Relevant prior experience may include: Regional Manager, Operations Manager, Area Manager, or Store Director.
