Position: Administrative Technician III [1102]

Program: Amarillo, Texas – Alternate Living

Salary: $22.14/hr.

Shift available: Full-time

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
  • Serves as the supervisor for the Alternate Living Group Home Program
  • Responsibilities include supervising program supervisory staff; hiring; ensuring proper group home staff coverage; monitoring the safety and cleanliness of the group homes; and making sure all program required paperwork is completed in a timely manner
  • Will serve in the group home on call rotation and could serve as a backup group home staff, if needed
  • Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised

Required qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) test
  • One (1) year of work experience in IDD adult habilitation planning and training
  • One (1) year of experience in working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Each year (30 semester hours) of accredited college work in a related field may substitute for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good verbal and writing skills
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner

  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:

  • One year of prior supervisory experience
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus
