Football Student Assistant

Job location: High Altitude Performance Center and War Memorial Stadium
Pay rate or range: $12/Hour
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist football staff with all aspects of Division I FBS football program that competes in the Mountain West Conference.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist coaches, strength staff and recruiting staff with duties as assigned. These will potentially include: assisting with unofficial and official visits for prospective student athletes, including gameday visits; assisting with mailings, social media, and communication related to recruiting; assisting with other projects as opportunities arise in both an office and dynamic athletic environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Some college.
- Enrolled as UW college student.
- Eligible for Federal Work Study.
EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS:
Organization, communication, delegating, problem solving, time management, listening, taking direction, teamwork.
Majors Most-Related to the Position: Kinesiology, Health Sciences, Business, Communication. More important than major is the desire to contribute to a team and an interest in sports, preferably football.
